The Plough Inn

33 Hall Gate, Diseworth, Derby DE74 2QJ, UK – 01332 810333

We had an excellent Sunday lunch in the plough. The portion size was generous without being silly and it was cooked to perfection. The veggies weren't overcooked (thankfully!) and the meat was cooked but still moist and succulent. The staff were attentive and professional. The waitress was a little hesitant but she was fairly young and still learning the job so that's fair enough. Parking was very easy as the car park at the back is pretty big. The outdoor seating area was also pretty huge too. We will definitely be going back again, hopefully on a Sunday!

Great place next to the airport. Cozy and friendly with good food in resonable prices!

Clock Warehouse Shardlow

Shardlow, Derby DE72 2GL, UK – 01332 650556

Just popping in on the off chance that they had a table on Father's Day. They did fortunately to save me searching round for another eatery. It was our first visit to this eatery and the place was lovely right next to canal. The place was buzzing and had a really good atmosphere, everyone was extremely nice and welcoming. We got drinks and looked at menu, it was very varied and mouth watering. For starters I had Figs salad on toasted Sourbread and my husband had Prawn cocktail with brown bread and butter. Both starters were delicious and presentation was excellent. For mains, I had 10oz grilled Gammon steak with fried egg and pineapple slice from a fresh pineapple, chips, peas and baby vine tomatoes on side. My hubby had Hunter's chicken with chips and salad. Both meals were very good we enjoyed every mouthful and extremely filling. We were too full for puddings so opted for coffee instead, it was a really nice coffee served with milk in a little container and small vanilla biscuit. We both enjoyed our meals in every way and will certainly go again. Thank you.

We really enjoyed our visit. The food was good, served by cheerful and helpful staff. You get a good feeling as you walk in where there is a pleasant, open, and well decorated bar area. This continues through into the restaurant area where there are large picture windows with views of the Trent and Mersey canal. Outside areas very well planned with lots of seating. We can certainly recommend The Clock Warehouse.

The Jolly Potters

36 Hillside, Castle Donington, Derby DE74 2NH, UK – 01332 811912

Brilliant old time pub with local history, fabulous low ceiling building!

Quaint pub with a small scattering of unfriendly locals whose eyes follow you as you enter. Felt a bit like the zebra who's wandered into the lions` cage. Good beer apparently.

Gandhi

3-5 Borough St, Castle Donington, Derby DE74 2LA, UK – 01332 855121

Always a wonderul eating experience and a pleasure to visit. The owner of this restaurant is passionate about serving good food made with the best ingredients. It's a 25 mile round trip every time we visit Gandhi's but it's worth it. Starting with the poppadoms and pickle tray right through the main course and finishing with a Brandy. A truly fabulous evening.

Hospitality and services are fabulous, food is so tasty and very generous host hugs every customer like all good old friends do. Largest naan breads I have seen.

Harvester Moto

Junction, 23A M1, Castle Donington, Derby DE74 2TN, UK – 01509 672220

After one of the worst day of my life I ended up at Harvester where I was treated so kindly by the member of staff, they were well mannered, well presented and very helpful. I would recommend this location to everyone because I you found some hope for humanity in this lovely location! Thank you so much and awesome food and Hot Chocolate!!

Dont expect any food after 21.45. Says 23.00 closing on Google but this is not correct so checked with the staff because i go there a lot with my work. You can get drinks till 10pm tho. Bear this in mind when visiting there after a hard day.

Rose Of Bengal

42 Borough St, Castle Donington, Derby DE74 2LB, UK – 01332 814737

Really good food. We enjoyed the midweek meal deal, which is fantastic value. The meat all seems high quality and food isn't too greasy. Would highly recommend.

Chinese Restaurants serving the Castle Donington area

Golden Dragon Restaurant

Castle Donington, Derby DE72 2HN, UK – 01332 799158

Great food amazing service. From the start the service was impeccable In this quaint little restraunt and food arrived after no time at all and each dish was sensensional. The price is not the cheapest but you centianly get what you pay for and worth every penny in my opinion. I paid about 70 pounds for three courses for three of us with drinks. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for authentic Cantonese food just simply amazing

First time visiting this restaurant. Great atmosphere. Food was fresh constantly replenished during the buffet Sunday when we visited. All 5 of use came away happy. Not expensive either!

Curry 2 Night

43-45 Borough St, Castle Donington, Derby DE74 2LB, UK – 01332 814455

Table for 4 Saturday night. Staff were excellent really helpful in recommending the meals. Service was very professional and fast. The food was perfect all 4 of us were more than happy. They ordered a taxi for us that somehow got taken by someone else on the street. Instead of booking another taxi one of the staff took us home for free in a 7 seater. Now that's going above and beyond. Thank you Curry Tonight and you will definitely be seeing us again and we will be recommending you to all our friends. Joe

Really lovely restuarant. The staff were friendly and took the time to discuss the menu and share their knowledge of the dish. The food was delicious and wine very welcome. Thank u for a super evening. Liz

Intimate venue for musicians AND superb food venue. Floyd works miracles here. You won't regret your visit for either food or music. (High On DC)

We ordered two drinks, one starter and two steaks. Everything was perfect. More choice of gin than you could ever ask for, lovely camembert and some of the most beautiful steaks that were honestly some of the best we’ve ever had! All topped off with a reasonable bill of £55 and high quality service! We will be back again!!!

The Castle Inn

2 High St, Castle Donington, Derby DE74 2PP, UK – 01332 391296

Great food, drink, Fab venue for music. Incredible pizza, and even a garden with the best views in Castle Donington. Recommended because there is something for everyone, & it's all done extremely well.

What a great establishment. 1st time I visited was for the England football game. The owners were handing out free drinks and the service was super. Food is also nice and at a great standard.
